Room 3, second floor of the museum

Here we present a selection of old prints, incunabula and manuscripts from our collections, including a page from a French prayer book
from around 1450, the first printed Polish translation of the Old and New Testaments - the Leopolita Bible, as well as the 1563 Brest Bible and the 1599 Bible of Jakub Wujek, old prints from the 16th-17th centuries on Polish history, Renaissance bindings, items with royal superscriptions, or parchment pages from graduals from the 18th century.
Muzeum w swoich zbiorach posiada także pierwsze wydania dzieł polskich romantyków: Adama Mickiewicza (1798–1855), Juliusza Słowackiego (1809-1849) czy Cypriana Norwida (1821-1883). W kolekcji znajdują się również rękopisy Henryka Sienkiewicza (1846-1916), Marii Konopnickiej (1842-1910), Elizy Orzeszkowej (1841-1910)  i wielu innych pisarzy polskich. Wystawy są sukcesywnie zmieniane.
