MUSEUM

PERMANENT EXHIBITIONS

Our permanent exhibitions are a journey through history - from the Noble Republic, through the 19th century, to the 20th century. Here we present the most valuable objects that tell about the culture and history of our homeland. You are welcome!

CURRENT EXHIBITIONS

Every year we open new temporary exhibitions. Most often they refer to important historical anniversaries, but they are also inspired by current events or unique exhibits worthy of special display. It's worth a look, because every visit can be different! Currently you can see:

About us
The Rev. Jozef Jarzębowski Museum in Licheń creates a space where the story of Polish history meets Christian art and tradition. Our collections document the fate of the nation, testimonies of faith and the richness of material culture.

In modern exhibition halls, we present carefully selected objects, showing both the glory of past centuries and dramatic moments of national history. We organize exhibitions, workshops and educational meetings, encouraging active learning about the past.
The museum is a living memorial - for those who want not only to see, but also to understand history.

Why the Museum
in Licheń is named after
Fr. Joseph Jarzębowski?

Fr. Joseph Jarzębowski, MIC, was the founder and creator of our museum. "He had an extraordinary talent for collecting and did extraordinary things in this regard. But he didn't collect to hide monuments from the world - on the contrary, to show them off."
His passion for collecting, patriotism and educational work gave birth to a collection of national memorabilia that today forms the basis of the collection of the museum in Licheń.

Dziś licheńskie muzeum to miejsce, w którym łączy się historia, kultura
i duchowość.
