Numismatics
The numismatic collection includes both coins and banknotes of Polish and foreign origin. Particularly noteworthy are the coins - Greek, Roman and Byzantine.
Polish paper currency includes the first banknotes issued in 1794, bonds of the Provisional National Government from the January Uprising (1863), banknotes from the interwar period (1919-1920, 1930s), full specimens of the first post-war Polish banknotes printed from the original plates used when printing began in the country (1974 commemorative issue) and rubles issued during Tsarist Russia - including those from 1909 and the 19th century.
German marks from 1907 and 1910, as well as banknotes from Germany's 1922 hyperinflation, complete the collection.
